The National Horticultural Field Day, New Zealand’s largest horticultural event is attracting exhibitor businesses from all over New Zealand as they take advantage of the booming horticultural industries.
Held at Showgrounds Hawke’s Bay in Hastings at the end of June, the event is a must do on the horticulture calendar which has led to the popularity from businesses wanting to get face to face with those working in the fruitgrowing, vegetable, contracting and viticulture industries.
“Sites have been snapped up, we are hosting exhibitors from Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Timaru, Christchurch and even a company out of Japan who sell pruning equipment. Its absolutely proof of the value of his event, that these businesses will travel so far for a one day event. There is nothing else like it in New Zealand” says Anna Hamilton, Events Manager.
The National Horticultural Field Day has grown ahead of its’ own projections, as the only event specifically targeted at the horticultural industries.
Each year industry demands a bigger event, to make way for more trade exhibitors, more demonstrations, more accessible technology and innovation.
“Visitor enquiry is coming in from all over New Zealand. For those working in the industry, coming off a very busy harvest and some in the middle of pruning, a day out at an event which is designed specifically for you, is very attractive. Better yet, with free tickets available, it’s a win win”.
“Our visitors and exhibitors are all working in and with the horticultural industries. Having an event which is purely horticulture is the key. They don’t have to walk around other agricultural based field days and events, searching for the one or two bits of horticultural gear. Its all here, in one place.”
The National Horticultural Field Day offers a free ticketing system, with complimentary tickets available from all trades exhibitors or through the event website.
The Field Day will be in held in Hastings on Thursday 29 June.
