In 2018 the Hawke's Bay A&P Society will host the New Zealand Royal A&P Show at Hawke's Bay on Show, the fourth Royal Show of our tenure.

The Premier Agricultural Show in New Zealand will bring competitors from all over New Zealand to compete for the coveted tri colour ribbon. 

We will be rolling out our plans in the months leading up to the show.

Our Trade Exhibitor prospectus will be available from 1st April 2018

Feature areas include:

The Mall – Indoor Exhibition space specifically aimed at home and lifestyle products.

Agribusiness Pavilion - Indoor Rural and Business strip marquee located in a prime rural trades location for the more corporate rural exhibitor.

Rural Trades Precinct – Outdoor areas for rural minded business – tractors, mowers, farm machinery and rural equipment

Bay Lifestyle – our premium marquee for high end products and services from exclusive clothing, food products and homewares to wine and Hawke's Bay produce. 

Lifestyle – Outdoor Marquee spaces selling anything from vehicles to furniture, clothing and lifestyle products.

Carnival – A precinct showcasing the fun trinkets and goodies you’d expect to find at an A&P Show.

The Royal A&P Show is the premier Agricultural Show in New Zealand. The Royal A&P Show in Hawke's Bay will have more animals, more competition arenas but all your favourite features including quality shopping, Animal World, and Mahons Amusements.

  (Provides gate entry for 2 Adults, 3 Children aged 5-13years)
• Adults $16
• Child (5-13yrs) $10
• Student (under 19yrs with valid ID) $10

• Presale Show tickets are available now from Hastings and Napier i-sites.  

• Essential Information

  Public Entry into the Show is via:

  Gate 3 off Kenilworth Road
  Gate 5 off Karamu Road
  Gate 12 off Elwood Road - Friday only

  All gates open at 8.30am, there is no entry after 8pm Thursday or 4pm Friday.

  Toilets

  There are several bathroom facilities available around the Show, in Showgrounds permanent facilities or temporary facilities. 

  Disabled toilets are located in the toilet block behind our Grandstand or by the Exhibition Hall.

  Baby changing facilities are available in the YMCA tent beside the Exhibition Hall. 

  Lost Children 

  Please direct your children to use the YMCA tent beside the Exhibition Hall if they are lost. Our Show MC will make public announcements when they have lost children in the tent. 
  

• Parking

  There are plenty of free public car parks available at the Show. 

  The Main Public Car Parks are located off Bennett Road (Friday Only) or Kenilworth Road.
  
  

  Member's Car Parking is available off Karamu Road.

  
  

  Disability Car Park is located off Kenilworth Road, by Gate 3. 

  
  

  The Trades Car Park is off Kenilworth Road Gate 1

  
  

  Equestrian Competitors, entry off Elwood Road, Gate C and D. 

  
  

  Stock competitors, entry off Elwood Road, Gate 13. 

  
  

• EFTPOS

  We have the ANZ EFTPOS container located at the Show behind the Grandstand. The container has three ATM machines so there’s plenty of opportunity to get some cash to enjoy the Show.
  

  All public entry gates have EFTPOS. 

• Food and Drink

  The main Show Food Court is located right behind the Grandstand, with two seating areas either under the trees or overlooking the Hastings City Community Stage. There is an amazing selection – from burgers and wraps, to Asian, café style and fresh seafood.
  

  Sweet treats, ice cream and coffee carts are also located in various other positions around the Showgrounds. 

  You are more than welcome to bring along a picnic to enjoy with your family inside the Show or in the car park. 

  No alcohol is permitted to be brought into the Show. 

• Royal Show Features

  This year as a Royal Show we have more competitions including Dairy Cattle, Dairy Goats, Pigs on top of the usual Beef Cattle, Alpaca, Dog Trials, Home Industries, Shearing, Sheep and Fleece Wool competitions. 

  
  

  Three days of Equestrian competition will be held across nearly ten arenas. 

  
  

  We welcome you to take a look around all of our competition areas and really get a feel for rural life in New Zealand. Its not often you get the opportunity to get up close to so many wonderful (and very large!!) animals. 

• Travel and Accommodation

  Free Car Parking – There is plenty of free car parking available at the Hawke’s Bay Show. Main public car parks are the Elwood Road car park, located off Bennett Road (Friday Only) or Kenilworth Road or Karamu Road, off our main Showgrounds drive, Gate B.

  Disability Car Parking – our Disability Car Park is located off Kenilworth Road, Gate A. 

  Accommodation - There are plenty of motels located in close proximity to the Showgrounds on Karamu Road. 

  We recommend the Deco City Motor Lodge in Napier and Amici Motel in Hastings.

• Lost property

  Please visit our Show office, level 2 of the Grandstand during the Show if you lose items while at the Show. 

• Shopping

  We have more than 220 Trade sites at this year's Hawke's Bay Show so there really is something for everyone. We have a range of areas depending on what you want to look at. 
  
  

  The Mall - indoor trade sites selling everything from balloons, to health products and kitchen utensils. 
  

  
  

  Bay Lifestyle -  the Bay Lifestyle marquee will be filled with high end products and services. 

  
  

  Lifestyle - the centre area of our Trades is filled with all sorts of goodies - clothing, jewellery, accessories, home and lifestyle products. There's plenty to see. 

  
  

  Rural Trades - The biggest rural trades area we've had in years. Stock trucks, farming equipment, tractors, chainsaws, vehicles, and plenty of agricultural minded products and services. 

  
  

  Agribusiness Hub - A marquee with a range professional services with a rural focus. The biggest ever indoor Agribusiness Pavilion. 

  
  

  Taste Hawke's Bay Pavilion - the new and much improved Taste Hawke's Bay Pavilion is located under the Grandstand and will include our  Hawke's Bay mini Market and demonstration kitchen.

  
  

The strength of a true A&P Show is its’ competitions. Hawke's Bay A&P Society is delighted to host the New Zealand Royal Show in 2018. Royal Shows bring more entries, stronger compeition, top quality judges and it is a true showcase of rural New Zealand.
